Single-Estate Tea Gardens
Single-estate ceremonial matcha from a family tea garden in Zhejiang.
Shade grown, gently steamed, and slow stone ground for exceptional purity and flavour
Our Origin
Kichi Matcha comes from a single tea-growing region in the misty highlands of Zhejian, where altitude, climate, and careful cultivation shape both flavour and colour. Cooler mountain air, frequent cloud cover and slower growth cycles allow help develop natural depth, smoothness and vibrant green character.
The tea gardens are cultivated by the same family that has worked this land for three generations, passing down knowledge, techniques and responsibility over time. Today, the gardens remain under the guidance of Mr. Shaohua, whose decades of tea cultivation continue to shape the estate's approach. What began as a small family operation has been carefully expanded with modern discipline, while preserving the principles that define the land: patience, restraint and respect for the leaf.
Shade-grown gardens
Shade structures are used before harvest to moderate sunlight and deepen chlorophyll development. Leaves are hand-selected at peak freshness and swiftly transferred to processing to preserve their natural character.
Craft & Process
Leaves are carefully shade-grown before harvest, then gently steamed, dried, refined, and slowly stone-ground into an ultra-fine powder.
Traditional low-speed milling helps preserve colour, aroma, smooth texture, and the natural depth of ceremonial grade matcha.
